Better Dweller - Party Games With Unlimited Fun
We have always loved trivia, games, and family. The brand Better Dweller was formed out of a desire to marry these three passions, since we have spend countless hours with our respective families whiling away the hours playing trivia games on a Friday night or a Saturday afternoon.
Unfortunately, trivia games are typically marked by a finite number of questions, and if you play them as often as we do, you quickly run out. Then you have to spend another $30 on a new one, as you hope that none of the questions will be repeated.
We developed these category-type games (based off the old parlor game beloved at least as far back as JFK), as a solution. With unlimited combinations of categories and letters, you always have the opportunity to demonstrate new knowledge to your friends and family.
Category Fraud is a more traditional (movie-themed) trivia game, that tests your ability to remember film titles, actors, actresses, and character names that fit the various prompts. It has the added wrinkle that, if you can’t come up with an answer quick enough, you are more than free to bluff your way to points by committing what we call “Category Fraud.” We firmly believe that Family Game Night is a no-phone zone, the whole point of board games is to provide a bit of diversion from the constant stream of doomscrolling.
Christmas Categories is less trivia focused, as you do not necessarily need to know facts other than things associated with the Yuletide. As such, it is truly a game for everyone, providing an opportunity for people of all ages to come up with creative answers that are different than those of their opponents.
Our first game, Christmas Categories was an idea from many, many years ago that we had played with pen and paper every holiday season. We decided to standardize the game and create a version to offer to families all around the world. Thus, Better Dweller Games was founded, and as Christmas Categories was met with resounding success, we went to work on several new concepts to increase the fun. Thus came Category Fraud, hopefully the second of many more games down the road. Be sure to follow us on social media for constant updates on new game developments!
